I thought I would post some pictures of our family over the last month since people are always asking for more pictures of the kids! So here is a brief snapshot of our family life in February...

In our family, we have certain food traditions that we keep to each weekend. It helps me as a mom to have a break from meal planning over the weekend; it gives our kids something to look forward to about the weekend; and it gives Nathan some special "Daddy" time with our kids as well. Some of our traditions come from our own time as kids like biscuits and chocolate gravy or homemade pizza, and some we have added as distinct to our family such as making cookies with Daddy and breakfast for supper. Together they make up a typical weekend in the Jackson house.

After the busy camp season in January, Nathan took a few days off in February to give us a long weekend at home as a family. He enjoyed working on some things around the house, reading a book, and going to the beach as a family. We were so thankful to have time to relax and enjoy being together as a family.

We also have been praying for rain over the last few months as it has been unseasonably dry for our part of Uganda. Thankfully the rains have seemed to come over the last week, and we are praising God for filling our cisterns and watering our gardens. We know that other parts of Uganda are still experiencing drought so please keep them in your prayers!
