Playing Outside

After playing in the rain

All of our kids have really enjoyed playing outside since coming back to Uganda.  John said yesterday when it was raining, "But I want to go outside and play in the dirt!"  John and Hannah play all kinds of pretend games outside from building houses to going to town.  It is so fun to see their creativity and imagination!  Nathan cut down some of the trees in our front yard earlier this week.  When Hannah saw all the trees down in the yard, she said, "Look!  Now we can climb in the trees because they are down on the ground!"  So, she and John went out to "climb" the trees for the next few hours.  Even Dan loves to be outside.  He is always trying to crawl off the porch to catch up with the other two kids.  When he does get out in the dirt with them, he likes to takes handfuls of dirt and put it on his head or his shoulders.  Sometimes he even tries to lay down in the dirt!  This is why the water in their baths at night is so brown!
