Kids

Here is an update on our kids from the last few months...
John is now 4 1/2 years old and loves playing outside with any kind of stick he can find.  He turns his sticks into guns, swords, spears, or anything else he needs to hunt animals or protect us from "bad guys."  He is enjoying kindergarten and is already able to read a few short words.  Of course, most of the time he would rather be working with Dad than doing school.  A few weeks ago, he helped Nathan at the new kitchen by using the hammer drill (all by himself) to cut out the bricks where the plumbing and electrical were to go.

Hannah just turned 3 years old in December and is growing much taller.  She's just a bit shorter than John these days.  She loves to color and practice writing the letters in her name.  She also loves to help Mommy in the kitchen, though we're not sure if she really likes to help or if she just likes to taste whatever she's making!

Working with Daddy
Dan is now 16 months old and is trying so hard to talk.  He can say a few words fairly clearly like  "cookie," "tea," "bye," "Mama," "Dada," and "Harry" (our dog).  He tries really hard to say other words, but most of the time we just have to guess what he's talking about!  It's so fun to see him trying to communicate though.  Just like the other two, he loves to go to work with Daddy and always cries when Daddy leaves without taking him along.
