EYO outreach |
We have had back to back groups here at the camp for the last two weeks. First to come were the Investment Year (IY) students from New Hope Uganda’s two children’s centers, Kasana and Kobwin, and they were followed by over thirty youth who are part of Emmanuel Youth Outreach (EYO) at Kasana Community Church. Each group worked mostly on clearing the bush at the beach and planting nice grass. They also spent time in Nalamuli, our local fishing village, cleaning up around the village and sharing the gospel with the people there. The EYO kids even had a “crusade” night where they preached the gospel, sang songs, and showed the movie The Passion of the Christ. While we only heard of a few people committing their lives to Christ, we know that the Word of God was preached and that it does not return void. We trust that the seeds were planted and God will harvest the fruits in His timing. We were so blessed by these young people that were so willing to serve. Their work was grueling and tedious at times, but they did it with joy and perseverance. We were glad to spend time with them and work with them while they were here.
