This last week we made a long-awaited trip up to New Hope’s Kobwin Children’s Center in northern Uganda. We have wanted to go there since we came to Uganda, but as they said, this was the time God had planned for us to be there. It was a joy to be able to meet the children and the staff and witness their heart for the Lord. We could hear joy in the children’s voices for what the Lord has done for them as they prayed and sang songs during devotions, and we felt openness and fellowship with the staff through their hospitality and generosity towards us. It was refreshing to see the hand of the Lord at work there.
While we were there, Nathan was very busy working to complete the roof on their new administration building. He was able to finish welding the trusses in place and attach some of the rest of the iron sheets. Due to a few complications, he wasn’t able to completely finish the roof, so it looks like we will be headed back to Kobwin in the next few months when the rest of the supplies arrive.
