First trip to Musana

We had the opportunity to travel down to Musana Camps this past weekend before we start the New Hope Institute for Childcare and Family this week. We had a great time meeting the rest of the staff that we'll be serving with, exploring some of the camp property, and experiencing travel in Uganda. Our trip to Musana was made interesting by flat tires, replacing a water pump on one of the vehicles, and a lot of interaction with some of the local children.

Musana Camps is at a beautiful location, and we
are excited about being there permanently in
about 6 months. We were slightly overwhelmed by the amount of work that needs to be done, but are excited by the many ministry opportunities that exist there.

Although we were just visiting for the weekend, we had fun getting to do some work while we were at Musana. Kendra helped fix some meals for a work crew and our group, and Nathan and John did some dirt work.

We enjoyed getting to know the other families
that we will be serving with at Musana Camps. It is a tremendous blessing to be able to serve with other staff who have a similar interest, passion, and commitment to the camping ministry.
