Hannah in pre-Kindergarten class |
The past month in Texas with Kendra's side of the family has been an enjoyable one for us, and we have been able to share with quite a few people about what our Father is doing in Uganda. So far, we have spoken at 3 churches and one Christian school, with another church and homeschool group on the schedule in the coming couple of weeks. While we are enjoying our time renewing relationships in the US, we are also beginning to miss Uganda more and more. John in particular has asked when we are going back, because he misses his friends. Sometimes while playing, he pretends that he is Skyping with his friends in Uganda.
When we were speaking at the Christian school a week ago, John and Hannah were able to join one of the classes for a little while, and they were very excited to be in school with other kids around their age. Kendra has been preparing to start home-schooling the kids when we head back to Uganda in August, and after their experience in school, John and Hannah are excited to really start school themselves.

In between our speaking engagements, work, and interactions with friends and extended family, we've had some time to enjoy just being together as a family. It has been very helpful and enjoyable for us to have time to go on walks, dates, and spontaneous adventures.
